Congrats on being an ambassador for Evans’ new campaign #StyleHasNoSize, How did you get involved with the project?
Thank you! I have been hoping to team up with Evans for a while now and I have an amazing team who helped make that happen! After a meeting with everyone at Evans in London, we all knew it was going to be a perfect fit, especially with the launch of their new campaign. I’m honored to be a part of it!

Cheeky Question…Do Evans send you free clothes?
Haha I do get a few things, yes!

What are your fashion mantras? (we know you like floral dresses)
Oh yes, I do love florals right now! My mantra is that it’s always best to get out of you fashion box. If you see something that you’d probably never wear or be too afraid to wear, try it on! You might be presently surprised. Don’t let the beauty standards of others define who you are. Some say that girls with curves shouldn’t wear crop tops or bikinis, I say, if you want to wear it, go for it!

Now ‘Jess and the Bandits’ are supporting this with upcoming single ‘Nitty Gritty’, why did you pick this song?
Because their campaign is inclusive of all women and says that style has no size, Nitty Gritty is perfect. The chorus says, ‘don’t matter if you’re fat, don’t matter if you’re skinny. Ain’t about that, you’ve gotta know you’re pretty. When it comes down, down to the nitty gritty. It ain’t complicated, we’re all the same. When it comes down, down to the nitty gritty”. That is the truth!

What are you looking to highlight with the campaign and who is the audience?
Definitely women, as Evans is a women’s clothing brand. We hope to attract all kinds of women, not just plus size. It’s important to unite us!

What tips do you have for people to have a positive body image?
I think it’s important to find things about yourself that you love. When you focus on the flaws, it can bring your confidence down. If you have amazing eyes, gorgeous hair, or fantastic legs… Work it! Eventually that will spill over into how you feel about everything else, even thing things you once hated.

How do you feel, when people compare your voice to Adele?
It’s a huge compliment. Although I don’t think I sound a thing like her, I sure don’t mind the comparison!

Your debut album ‘Here We Go Again’ charted at No.6 in the country charts -but if you were asked to support taylor Swift or Dolly Parton on tour and you could only choose one, who would it be and why?
DOLLY! She is a country music and American icon. It wouldn’t be often that someone could say they supported Dolly Parton. Plus she is an incredible songwriter so hopefully I’d be able to do some writing with her.

October will see you on tour, what will you be doing between now and then?
I actually get back on a plane next week for the UK. We’ll be doing the festival circuit as well as shooting our new video for ‘Nitty Gritty’! We are also giving fans the chance to star in the video with us.
