Ashley Roberts “Striking a pose is scary”

Ashley Roberts often worries about being caught posing weirdly during a photo-shoot.

The 33-year-old dancer, singer and reality stars is often in front of the camera in striking ensembles, both on and away from the red carpet. While dressed up and posing for various publications, Ashley feels more confident by getting into the right mindset and not constantly checking herself on the monitor.

“I’m still a girl at the end of the day. If it’s my time of the month or I don’t get my pose right… I still worry they might catch me at a weird angle,” she revealed to British magazine Very.

“You know what? I do better sometimes when I don’t watch myself. I start getting worries in my head and then you’re not in the moment. I think I’d rather take on the character and let it come across on camera, rather than nitpicking every single thing.”

In the shoot for the magazine Ashley sports an edgier look, with bold eyeshadow and dark lipstick. It may be a little different to what fans usually see her in but the American beauty, who began her career as a member of The Pussycat Dolls, didn’t find the style alien.

“It’s a bit exaggerated with the fun Goth make-up, but I like that. I tend to rock a lot of black and I love little leather pieces like the skirt I was wearing today,” she smiled.

“I’ve had my [pink-wash hair] for a little while, but it’s been creeping up bit by bit. I’ve been blonde for so long that it’s fun to play around with it.”
