Blake Lively talks skincare and fashion

Blake Lively didn’t bother with a skincare routine until she appeared on Gossip Girl.

Blake Lively finds skincare confusing. The 26-year-old actress is best known for portraying Serena van der Woodsen in US TV show Gossip Girl. She was a teenager when she began the series and had no interest in caring for her face.

“I’ve basically grown up on a set for the past six years and I used whatever they put on me. I started the show at 19 and didn’t have much of a skincare routine. The older I get, the more I realise, now I’m not on that show with someone doing that to me every day, that I need to focus on it more. But there are so many products out there, it’s hard to know what the right one is,” she admitted to UK Glamour magazine.

Part of looking after her skin means Blake is careful about the cosmetics she uses. She doesn’t like super thick make-up as she finds it ageing.

“I tend to be a bit glowy, a bit bronzy. Not too much base, so skin looks fresh and pretty. I like to play up my eyes and stick to rosy tones on my lips,” she explained.

Blake is known for her slim figure, but her attitude towards exercise is refreshing. She doesn’t punish herself with trips to the gym she doesn’t enjoy, instead looking for fresh ways to get fit.

“Going to the gym has always been hard for me, because I hate it. Whenever I start to go, I just stop. But even if you fit into your jeans, you have to be healthy on the inside. So I tried to figure out how I can work out without feeling like I work out. I find ways to be active outside because it’s more fun than being locked inside. Growing up I danced a lot, now I hike and when I travel to another city, I rent a bicycle, so I move while I explore a new place,” she said.

MarkMeets agrees then Blake Lively recently said:  I think if somebody has the courage to be really daring and try something outlandish, then more power to them. That’s just encouraging and inspiring. When I see someone like that, I just wish I had their bravery.
