The unique duo starred in BBC1’s The Voice UK 2013 as part of Team Jessie J and we got to meet them last September.

De’ Vide are a fresh and innovative music duo from the UK, comprising of members rapper/MC Lex Flowers and acoustic/vocals Barny Holmes.

With Barny providing acoustic and vocals and Lex a talented MC, their sound is best described as a crisp fusion of Hip-Hop, R&B, Indie and Soul with an Funk/Acoustic edge.

The duo recently made it through out of 30,000 artists to reach the blind auditions of BBC 1’s The Voice UK Season 2 – where they were successful in achieving a spot on Team Jessie J in which their performance was seen by 11 million viewers as they successfully moved forward to the battle rounds watched by over 12 million viewers in the UK alone.

They recently embarked on a tour where they also supported the Brand New Heavies and the summer festival season they opened the stage for Jessie J, JLS, Naughty Boy, Union J, Amelia Lily and Wiley, This autumn due to support the So Solid Crew on their last ever UK tour.

In February 2011 De’ Vide came second place in the Choice FM competition to support Ne-Yo and Trey Songz at the O2 arena in London.

In October 2011 the boys were interviewed and were featured on BBC Radio 1Xtra after their track “To & Fro” was selected as the Homegrown Download of the week and placed on the 1Xtra iTunes podcast.

In November 2011 they featured on BBC 6 Music: Introducing with Tom Robinson and following which they were placed in the long list for MTV’s BRAND NEW FOR 2012 and received their debut play on BBC Norfolk Introducing.

In January 2012 the boys received their second play and debut feature and in February we’re asked to feature in the BBC Magazine “Volume”.

In March 2012 they performed at O2 Academy in Leeds, boasting a capacity of over 2800 people and in April performed a Live Session for BBC Norfolk ‘Introducing’ after reached the semi-finals in the ‘Rocket from the East’ competition to open the stage at PlayFest, September 2012 saw them achieve a firm second place in the Musicalize competition to Support Clement Marfo & The Frontline and The Lovable Rogues.

2013 The lads were interviewed by MarkMeets.

Both lads have had involvement in music from a young age, Barny has been in various bands and projects and Lex has always written and performed predominantly Hip-Hop and R&B.

However when the two met in 2010 they decided to fuse their individual sounds into one unique style, creating a combination of Soul/Hip-Hop/Indie and Acoustic.

It was from here that De’ Vide were formed.

Currently the guy’s are filming a documentary for BBC Introducing and work hard in the studio on their EP and debut Album, single and music video whilst they prepare to open for some big acts across UK arenas this autumn/winter.
