The film’s stars Kurt Russell and Tim Roth will also attend the red carpet event.

Tarantino – whose other films include Kill Bill, Django Unchained and Inglourious Basterds – now tells the story of eight travellers in post-Civil War Wyoming.

In the film ‘The Hateful Eight‘, two passengers hurtle in a stagecoach through the US state, aiming for the town of Red Rock. They are bounty hunter John Ruth (Russell) and his prize fugitive Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh).

Along the road, they encounter two strangers: former union solider Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L Jackson), also a bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins), who claims to be the town’s new sheriff.

The party of four becomes lost in a blizzard and takes refuge at a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass, where they meet four more people: caretaker Bob (Demian Birchir), hangman Oswaldo Mobray (Roth), cow-puncher Joe Gage (Michael Madsen), and Confederate General Sanford Smithers (Bruce Dern).

The film, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, is more than three hours long.

Shot in 70mm film instead of the usual 35mm, it will open in the West End with a wide-scope and high-resolution image quality – alongside the standard release in digital theatres.
