Aaron Taylor-Johnson finds training problematic when shooting a movie.

The handsome British star has beefed up for his role as action hero Ford Brody in the latest reincarnation of Godzilla.

To get his body in shape, Aaron had to forgo sleep in order to hit the gym for intensive work outs.

“I train twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. An hour and a half each session. Six days a week. When you start filming, it’s f**king tricky. You have to get up at five in the morning to slip in an hour,” Aaron revealed to Total Film magazine.

To help him buff up, Aaron sought the help of marine Jim Beaver. Jim was on hand to advise Aaron how to best conduct the stunts authentically.

“Jim Beaver has worked on a lot of army movies, from Black Hawk Down to Battle: Los Angeles. He’s been a marine since he was a kid. He trained me on how to use weapons, wear the gear, the military mindset… I touch base with him every day. The role is physically demanding – I’m in helicopters, trucks, trains; we’re moving giant missiles, stuff like that,” Aaron commented.

Last year Aaron’s name was banded around as one of the possible stars to play Christian Grey in the big screen adaptation of hit erotic novel 50 Shades of Grey. Although the film is being directed by Aaron’s wife Sam, the star was quick to dismiss the reports claiming he wasn’t attractive enough to take on the role.

“I am not Christian Grey. I mean he is supposed to be the most gorgeous man on the f**king planet! And I’m not old enough,” he previously laughed.
