‘Jurassic World’ will be set 22 years after the first ‘Jurassic Park’ movie

Jurassic World Director Colin Trevorrow has revealed his upcoming film, which serves as the fourth film in the dinosaur franchise, will follow events nearly two decades after the events of Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic.

”This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park.”

It was recently reported that actor Chris Pratt is in talks for the film’s lead role, playing a rugged ex-military man who develops a relationship with the already-cast Bryce Dallas Howard.

‘Labor Day’ star Josh Brolin was initially linked to the role, but it’s thought his discussions with movie studio Universal didn’t go very far.

Young actors Ty Simpkins – best known for his role in ‘Iron Man 3’ – and Nick Robinson have also been cast in the blockbuster as the nephews of Howard’s physicist character.

Trevorrow has reportedly been working ”in tandem” with ‘Jurassic Park’ executive producer Steven Spielberg to handpick the cast for the fourth instalment in the dinosaur series.

We can’t wait to see this movie!
