Kelly Clarkson’s New ‘Heartbeat song’ single in depth

Following a year’s absence out of the spotlight to start a family, Kelly Clarkson has come back with another single named “Heartbeat Song.” The uptempo track is the vocalist’s first since turning into a mother this past June.

“Heartbeat Song” was co-written by Clarkson’s longtime collaborator and former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi and produced by Greg Kurstin, who previously worked with Clarkson on her Grammy-nominated single “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).”

Earlier this year, Clarkson tweeted about what direction she took on her new album. “People keep asking,” she wrote. “My next album is pop. But I am always influenced by music I love, which is pop-rock/country/r&b/dance. Oh, and people also keep asking about the duet on the record. Here’s a hint… this wasn’t our first time to sing together :)”
