Girl band Little Mix have revealed how much their latest track ‘Little Me’ means to them and their fans.
The X Factor stars said the next song from the Salute album is to make fans feel good about themselves.
The British four-piece girl group formed in 2011, consist of members Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.
Jade Thirwall told Capital: “We really wanted to write a song basically about what we would tell ourselves if we could go back in time.”
Leigh-Anne Pinnock explained: “It’s basically a message to the fans because a lot of them are quite young.
“It’s like we’ve all been through it, we’ve had haters and people telling us we can’t do it and it’s like, ‘Well I wish I hadn’t have handled it in that way, I wish I hadn’t have let them get me down’.”
Meanwhile, Perrie Edwards has said she does not get upset over internet trolls.
She is engaged to One Direction singer Zayn Malik and has been targeted by some of the boy band’s fans.
Perrie recently said: “You just learn to ignore the bad things, really.
“Because the people who are slating you on the internet are probably massively overweight with hairy pits, smelling of BO. Do you know what I mean?
“They’re doing it to make themselves feel better.”
