The 23-year-old shocked fans with photographic evidence he’s back in the recording studio making new music and it’s the news we all wanted to hear.

His fourth studio album Purpose was an absolute cracker with tracks including ‘What Do You Mean?’ and ‘Sorry’ winning him a new legion of fans.

And, how weird is it to think it’s been almost two years since he released his critically-acclaimed album. Oh, how the time flies.

So, imagine our delight when Justin posted several black and white images to Instagram last night of himself working on new music in a recording studio.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen – the Biebs is back.

Bieber took to Instagram to share news of his latest recording ventures, with images showing him playing the piano and staring confusingly into a microphone in front of sheet music.

Sadly, the lyrics to his future hit (of course it’s going to be a belter, it’s Bieber) are blurred out so we’ll just have to wait until the tune drops in due course to find out exactly what musings have inspired the 23-year-old.
