Who is the best celebrity grandmother?

In order to celebrate Gorgeous Grandma Day, Best Offers Bingo has conducted a survey of the UK in order to find out who the nation thinks is the best celebrity grandmother.

Goldie Hawn
Taking the top spot is Goldie Hawn who will forever be Americas Sweetheart. Born in Washington, D.C on November 21st 1945, Goldie first stole our hearts in 1980 when she appeared in Private Benjamin. Goldie has since starred in an array of classics from Overboard in 1987, Death Becomes Her in 1992 to The First Wives Club in 1996. Goldie has three beautiful children Kate Hudson, Oliver Hudson and Wyatt Russell who she has brought up with partner and fellow actor Kurt Russell. As well as being setting up the Hawn Foundation youth education program, Goldie has also written the books 10 Mindful Minutes: a Journal and 10 Mindful Minutes: Giving Our Children – and Ourselves -the Social and Emotional Skills to Reduce Stress and Anxiety for Healthier, Happier Lives. Goldie really is a gorgeous grandma both in the inside and outside.

Sharon Osbourne
In second place we have the ever loveable Sharon Osbourne. Sharon was born in Brixton, London on October 9th 1952. She is the wife of rock star Ozzy Osbourne who she met when her father was managing Black Sabbath. Sharon later started to manage Ozzy and the two married in 1982. Sharon and Ozzy have three children, Kelly, Jack and Aimee. Although the public knows her best after she was a judge and mentor on the The X Factor, we still love her first television appearance on MTV’s reality show, The Osbournes. Sharon may be a formidable, outspoken force to be reckoned with, but she has a soft side you can’t help but fall in love with.

Whoopi Goldberg
Coming in at the top three spot is the incredibly talented Whoopi Goldberg. Whoopi is a woman of many talents, she’s an actress, comedian, writer, producer, singer and political activist. Born in Manhattan, New York on November 13th 1955. Whoopi has one child, Alex Martin. Proving that she can make us cry as well as laugh, Whoopi made her major film debut in Steve Spielberg’s The Color Purple in 1985 for which she won a Best Actress in a Leading Role Academy Award for her portrayal of Celie Harris Johnson. Whoopie went on to star in the classics Ghost in 1990 and Sister Act in 1992.

Tina Turner
What’s age got to do with it? Coming in at number four we have the musical legend Tina Turner.
Born in Nutbush, Tennessee on November 26th 1939, Tina is mother to Ronnie and Raymond Craig Turner. Tina has had a turbulent past but she came out on top and became a world famous star in her own right producing hits such as What’s Love Got To Do With It, We Don’t Need Another Hero and Private Dancer. She is cited as an inspiration for many of today’s female solo artists.

Susan Sarandon
Finally taking the coveted fifth position is the incredible Susan Sarandon. Born in Jackson Heights, New York on October 4th 1946, she is mother to Eva Amurri and Miles and Jack Henry Robbins. Susan is in a league of her own when it comes to het acting talents. She has starred in a variety of hits from The Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1975, Thelma & Louise in 1991 and Dead Man Walking in 1995.
