Cheryl Cole is already said to be “desperate” to win The X Factor on her return this year.
The Girls Aloud star is back on the panel alongside Simon Cowell, who is also returning to the UK show.
It’s sure to provide perhaps the most competitive series yet, even before the other judges have been confirmed.
Cheryl won the show in both 2008 and 2009 with her acts Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry respectively, the only judge to have won consecutive series.
And now back for a fourth run it seems that the ‘Fight For This Love’ hit maker is out to get back to her winning ways.
At least so say the ever insightful and never-made-up ‘insiders’.
“Cheryl is desperate to win this year,” a source says. “She feels like she has something to prove to Simon and the British public.”
Well there you go.
Auditions so far have taken place in Dublin Plymouth, London and Cardiff.
Next week sees the open try outs travel to Birmingham and Edinburgh before moving on to Gateshead, Manchester and Birmingham.
But while auditions are underway there’s still no news on just who will be joining Simon and Cheryl on the judging panel, with even Louis Walsh’s regular spot not yet confirmed.
The show will return to our screens on ITV in the autumn.
Latest rumour: Laura Whitmore is reportedly been lined up to replace Caroline Flack on the Xtra Factor 2014.
