Paloma Faith has denied media reports suggesting that the star is in line to be the new X Factor 2014 judge.
It was reported earlier this month that Paloma had been in talks with bosses about joining the show.
“She would balance nicely with Cheryl and is being talked about seriously, but no final decisions have been made.
“Simon wants to make sure the best judge is hired” said the Sun
But Paloma has dismissed the claims saying that she could never become a judge.
The ‘Can’t Rely On’ You songstress said: “I don’t believe in judgement. I don’t think I know enough about music yet to be the sort of person to do that… I’m winging it myself!
Paloma revealed previously that she had turned down the BBC who had originally offered her a role on The Voice UK.
“They did offer me The Voice, but I didn’t feel it was right,” she explained. “I don’t like the idea of eliminating people because I don’t feel confident enough about my own abilities to judge any body else.”
MarkMeets have been told that a American star is being touted for the role.
Simon dismissed pretty much every one of the current rumoured judges from Ellie Goulding to James Arthur.
But the possibility of Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon on the panel did seem more promising, with Simon saying: “Alesha, I think she would be a great judge on the show, but whether she’d want to as she likes doing Got Talent.”
“We thought about her two years ago for the X Factor.”
