Will.i.am wants Madonna to replace Kylie Minogue on The Voice

Will.i.am has said he wants to see Madonna replacing Kylie Minogue on The Voice UK. MarkMeets editor Mark Boardman said “The huge wage demand by Madonna would be more than the whole production cost of the show it’s self”!

Although the Black Eyed Peas star also admitted he was hoping that the claims of Kylie’s exit were just “vapour press” and “not real”.

Kylie herself confirmed she was leaving last week.

“Hi Lovers, thanks to all of you for your incredible support throughout this past season of The Voice UK,” Kylie said in a statement. “I’m sad to say that, due to the timing of my European Tour, I won’t be back for season four. I absolutely loved my time on the show, and I’ll miss all of the incredible people who were a part of my experience.

“I hope to see you all on my Kiss Me Once Tour, and wish continued success to everyone at The Voice!”

Speaking about the reports, Will said: “She’s amazing. I had fun, I hope it’s just vapour press and it’s not real.”

But he went to suggest that Madonna or even Bono could be possible replacements.

Meanwhile, Will revealed he wanted to see a global version of The Voice that would see winners from across the world compete.

Currently a coach on The Voice Australia alongside Kylie, Will explained: “Watching The Voice US and being part of the show in the UK, the singers that are here [Australia] are good if not better.

“I would like to see The Voice Australia compete with the best of the UK – like a super final.”

He did go on to say talent Down Under is better than in Britain.
