5 Men’s Fashion Blogs You Should Be Following

The world of fashion is a fast-paced, ever-changing one. Styles and trends come and go as fast as they arrive, and if you’re not on the ball, you could soon find yourself languishing behind wearing outfits that date you, age you, and certainly don’t do their best for you.

So, aside from trawling the high streets searching for the latest inspiration where can you look to find up to date, comprehensive men’s fashion advice? One word: Blogs.

Fashion Blogs

So here’s our pick of the top five men’s fashion blogs you should be following…

1. The Gentleman Blogger
The clue’s in the title as to what you can expect from this blog, but just in case there’s any doubt left in your mind, think: smart, stylish, classic menswear with a modern edge.

The man behind the blog is Matthew Zorpas. He’s worked with MINI, and is the current UK menswear ambassador for Coach. You can constantly see The Gentleman Blogger wearing smart, well-tailored suits with a flash of colour in the form of a classic paisley print scarf, or a well-placed old school handkerchief. Want a similar look? Try suits from Dobell and add your own twist in the form of bold, bright footwear or a printed pair of socks.

2. Michael 84
Young, fresh, and a mix of everything from high street style to high end fashion, Michael 84 is a great resource for men’s fashion. There’s everything from guides on how to dress on a budget to reviews of men’s fragrances. Check it out!

3. SchoolBoyCouture Mag
Amazing photography combined with a mix of lifestyle-related blogs and fashion posts, SchoolBoyCouture has gained bags of respect among the men’s fashion crowd. So much so in fact, that he’s worked with big names such as Topman, Bang & Olufsen, and Mr Porter amongst others. A great blog for London street fashion that’s contemporary and cool.

4. Garconjon
Garconjon is the blog of Jonathan Daniel Pryce – a London photographer who specialises in street and fashion photography. You’ll find beautifully crisp photos showcasing all manner of fashion styles that Jonathan has spotted and documented. Plus, you can rest assured that with the 2012 photographer of the year (as awarded at the Scottish fashion awards), you’ll be getting cutting edge fashion pics from someone who clearly knows what he’s doing. Oh – and if you have a love of beards (who doesn’t?) then check out his other work documenting 100 beards in 100 days.

5. Singh Street Style
Known as the ‘Turbaned Fashion Blogger’, Singh Street Style is run by Pardeep Singh Bahra who wanted to bring Sikh chic to the world of men’s fashion blogs. His take on fashion is colourful, a little out there, and is rooted in what people are wearing on the street. He photographs men in turbans who catch his eye – for their sense of style, the way they’ve put an outfit together, and their attitude. The result is a blog that’s entirely different from other fashion blogs out there, and a definite must-see.

Fashion is about moving forward, embracing new styles, and keeping your options open. It’s easy to get stuck in a rut, so to help make sure this doesn’t happen to you, keep your eyes on the best men’s fashion blogs and keep your look sharp and current.
