Beauty and the Beast Final Official Movie Trailer

2017-01-31

Game description:

Disney’s live-action musical, Beauty and the Beast is heading into the home stretch of its marketing campaign and MarkMeets has the final trailer below for you to enjoy.

The film is co-written and directed by Oscar-winner Bill Condon (Dreamgirls, Mr. Holmes) and stars Emma Watson as Belle, opposite Dan Stevens as the vain human prince who is transformed into a monstrous creature, after he crosses an enchantress the wrong way. Similar to Disney and director Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book, Condon’s Beauty and the Beast looks to remain largely faithful to its famous Mouse House-animaed predecessor, even as it incorporates some fresh material (such as new original songs) into the mix.

Those who make a trip to Disney’s theme parks in California sometime over the next month will have a chance to go check out an extended preview of Beauty and the Beast, while they are there. As for everyone else: Disney has been teasing the release of a final theatrical trailer for the film over the past week and will be unveiling said trailer during the newest episode of ABC’s The Bachelor; as a newly-unveiled sneak peek clip for the TV event further confirms.

This week’s episode of The Bachelor is being hosted by Luke Evans and Josh Gad – who, fittingly enough, play the handsome-but-egotistical villain Gaston and his sycophantic sidekick LeFou in Beauty and the Beast – and will include the small screen debut of the final Beauty and the Beast trailer, around the same time that the trailer premieres online. As previously reported, Evans and Gad’s appearance on The Bachelor coincides with the fifth episode of what is overall season 21 for the reality TV show.

Speaking of Gaston: we have yet to hear anything from Evans’ rendition of the Beauty and the Beast antagonist’s classic solo number “Gaston” (now featuring additional lyrics, no less), nor much singing from the cast in general besides Watson. Given that Gad and Evans are the ones unveiling the film’s new trailer, it’s certainly plausible that this this third – and final – theatrical preview will include a moment or two from “Gaston”. Then again, the trailer might focus more on further teasing Watson’s versions of “Something There” and “Belle”, or even the movie ensemble cast’s performance of the iconic show-stopping number, “Be Our Guest”.

The general expectation is that the final Beauty and the Beast trailer will be the most singing-heavy theatrical preview yet, in turn generating more excitement among moviegoers who are eager to hear what, say, Ewan McGregor’s singing as Lumiere or Emma Thompson’s Mrs. Potts performing “Beauty and the Beast” sounds like. There’s little reason for Disney to reveal too much more of its hand at this stage, what with general filmgoer interest in (as well as awareness of) Beauty and the Beast already being exceptionally high. Still, a trailer with a bit more singing does seem called for, at this stage in the game.

Beauty And The Beast is in UK cinemas March 17th 2017.
