McFly will have a 2016 UK summer tour, and have confirmed to MarkMeets that they they perform at venues across London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester.
The Anthology Tour is a unique concept. The band will play three nights in each city, with each concert featuring a different set list from a different McFly album, alongside some of the band’s biggest hits.
The first night in each city will feature songs from ‘Room on The Third Floor’, the second night songs from ‘Wonderland’ and ‘Motion In The Ocean’, whilst the third night will feature songs from ‘Radio:ACTIVE’ and ‘Above The Noise’. These extra special shows are a unique opportunity to see McFly perform almost all of their amazing back catalogue, from album tracks to bonafide smash hits, ensuring every fan will hear at least one of their favourite Mcfly songs!
Harry explained: “It’s four cities, three nights in each city and we’re playing every song we’ve ever recorded”.
““It’s going to be a lot of fun” said the boys.
Tom added “There are songs that are 13 years old that we’ve never played before, so it’s really exciting for us”.
McFly are undoubtedly one of the most significant pop groups of the past 12 years. During this time, their 5 studio albums have racked up cumulative sales of over 10 million, seven UK No.1 singles, five top 10 albums, numerous sell out tours and over 3 million Twitter followers collectively. After a successful Greatest Hits album and ’10 Year Anniversary’ concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, 2014 saw the band form a supergroup with Matt Willis and James Bourne from Busted, McBusted, The band achieved huge success, completing two massive sold out Arena tours across the UK and Ireland and headlining Hyde Park London.
Now Tom, Dougie, Harry and Danny are back as a four piece and are ready to take on the UK music scene once again.
After the record breaking Arena tour success of McBusted, McFly have decided to scale things back and perform shows that allow fans to get up close and personal in a way they’ve never been able to before. For these historic gigs, the band have chosen iconic rock venues across the UK – expect these shows to be hot, sweaty and full of energy.
