Best Christmas Songs ever

Best Christmas Songs ever

Here’s my top 10 Christmas songs of all time, counting down to number 1.

10. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday by Wizzard

This is a very Catchy tune, however the video scare us and the song is alittle overplayed hence why is came in at no.1.

9. Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms

What a classic tune often used in movies, including Lethal Weapon or Mean Girls.

It’s one of the songs you can quickly learn the words too.

8. Driving Home For Christmas by Chris Rea

It wouldn’t like Christmas without this one though back in 1998 it only hit number 58.

7. Merry Xmas Everybody by Slade

Noddy Holder’s pension pot! He makes over half a million each xmas on royalties from this one song alone!

This is a great tune to belt out when you’ve got the family over.

6. White Christmas by Nat King Cole

“Chestnuts roasting on an open fire” is a classic opening line from this tune!

5. Winter Wonderland by Doris Day

Wintry wonderfulness. One for the oldies!

4. Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt

The sexiest Christmas song ever written. We also like the Kylie cover.

3. Last Christmas by Wham!

80’s nostalgia.

2. All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey

Back in the days when Mariah actually sang a decent tune!

1. Fairytale Of New York by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl

Shane MacGowan may not be everyones cuppa, however the tune has the line “You scumbag you maggot. You cheap lousy faggot” so we love it.

Sadly The Cheeky Girls, Cliff Richard’s – Mistletoe and wine or X Factor stars never made it this time!

So, have we missed any? Would you have put something else at number one? Have your say by commenting below.

Merry Christmas!
