X Factor 2009, winner Joe McElderry has revealed that he is still in touch with his mentor Cheryl Cole.
He also admitted that he would consider joining I’m A Celebrity…. Get Me Out of Here!.
Speaking to our pals at Unreality TV about his relationship with Cheryl, McElderry said: “We speak now and again and send each other texts and things.
“We try to meet up when we can but whenever we see it’s other it’s just instantly like we’ve not been apart.
“So yes, we keep in touch regularly.”
Discussing rumours that he is joining other reality TV shows he says most are not true but he would consider I’m A Celebrity….
He said: “I’ve never been asked to do I’m A Celebrity… so I don’t know how I would feel about that.
“I mean if I was asked, I’d consider it definitely, but I don’t know if I would be able to handle the animals and the Bushtucker trials, but I’d give it a good go!
“But yeah, every single year my name gets mentioned in connection with reality shows. Like this year I was supposed to be doing Strictly.
“For about six months, I kept seeing my name and that I was doing Strictly, but I didn’t know anything about it!
“I think I’m always rumoured to be doing them because of course I started out in a big reality show, so people must think I’ll do every one that comes along.”
