Robert Pattinson is apparently worried his stylist made him look older than his years while at the Cannes Film Festival.
Twilight star Robert Pattinson is reportedly concerned he looked “downright grandfatherly” on recent red carpets.
The 28-year-old actor won hordes of female fans when he was cast as Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise and continues to be one of Hollywood’s leading heartthrobs. He attended the recent Cannes Film Festival to promote his new movie The Rover, but is apparently concerned he didn’t look his best.
“Rob… is furious with his stylist and thinks he looked downright grandfatherly on the red carpet,” a source told British magazine Heat.
Adding to the British star’s woe is Ryan Gosling, who Robert apparently can’t help comparing himself with. He reportedly felt the Canadian star looked much more dapper which he was promoting his directorial effort Lost River, although Ryan also got a spot of the green eyed monster.
“Both their teams were under strict instructions not to let Rob or Ryan be in the same room at any point,” the insider said. “They see each other as rivals and Ryan’s p**sed that Rob’s Rover flick got rave reviews while his was slammed.”
Robert’s supposed concern about his appearance comes as something of a surprise as he has previously shown little interest in his clothes. Last month he admitted he prefers a minimal wardrobe and relies on others to dress him for events.
“I’ve basically stolen every item of clothing that anyone’s ever given me for a premiere, but in my closet there’s literally about three things”.
