He has come along way in such a short amount of time. MarkMeets can confirm tha Dan Stevens has signed up to star in the sequel Night At the Museum 3.
The former Downton Abbey star will be the knight Sir Lancelot in the film, which is due to begin filming next year.
Stevens will star alongside regulars Ben Stiller and Robin Williams, who are to reprise their roles as museum worker Larry Daley and US president Theodore Roosevelt.
According to the website Deadline, the latest instalment of the series will reportedly swap New York and Washington DC for London, with Stevens’ part described as ‘pivotal’ to the action.
The original Night at the Museum follows divorced father Larry when he begins a job as a museum night watchman before discovering that all the exhibits come to life after sunset.
The sequel Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, set in the famous Washington DC attraction, was released in 2009.
Since leaving Downton Abbey in 2012, Stevens has appeared in several movies including the recently released Wikileaks drama The Fifth Estate.
He also starred in the Edwardian drama Summer in February, as well as the thriller A Walk Among The Tombstones, which also stars Liam Neeson and Ruth Wilson.
