Australian quartet 5 Seconds Of Summer have shot straight to the top of the singles chart with their debut UK track ‘She Looks So Perfect’.

5 Seconds Of Summer – made up by Luke Hemmings (vocals and guitar), Mikey Clifford (guitar and vocals), Calum Hood (bass and vocals) and Ash Irwin (drums and vocals) – have built up their fan base via posting cover versions of Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran songs online and were One Direction’s support act on their ‘Take Me Home’ tour.

Last week’s chart topper, ‘I Got U’, from Duke Dumont and Jax Jones has now fallen to No. 2.

The rest of the top five is made up by a new entry at No. 3 from French duo Faul & Wad Ad with ‘Changes’, Route 94 and Jess Glynne are down two to No. 4 with ‘My Love’ and John Legend’s ‘All Of Me’ is also down two to No. 5.

New entries to the rest of this week’s top 40 come from Martin Garrix and Jay Hardway with ‘Wizard’ at No. 7, Chris Brown featuring Lil Wayne at No. 15 with ‘Loyal’, Sneakbo – along with Tujamo and Plastik Funk – at No. 21 with ‘Dr Who’.

X Factor winner Sam Bailey has shot to No. 1 with her debut album ‘The Power Of Love’ selling 73,000 copies in the past seven days, making it the fastest-selling artist album of the year so far.
