Pop megastar Britney Spears has opened up about her new single ‘Work Bitch’ and explained the meaning of the phrase in a better light.
During a new interview with Alan Carr on ‘Chatty Man’, she confessed that the use of the term ‘bitch’ is more a “term of endearment” than an offensive dig at someone:
“I don’t call everyone… that word. I just use it as, it’s like in respect to the gays as a term of endearment. It’s like a street slang for everyone, you know, like you get to work, that’s what you do when you get to work and it’s like, cool.”
She also joked about her use of whips in music videos, adding: “We had a whip instructor come in and actually show me how to use it.”
“[You] bring it around the back of my head and actually use it, and if you do it the wrong way you can actually hurt yourself and cut yourself with it, because it’s really powerful. They’re really strong.”
