She told PA: “It’s funny isn’t it because people are saying it’s the 20 year anniversary of the Spice Girls, and we did get together in ’94, but Wannabe wasn’t released until ’96, so we don’t really see it until ’96.”

Mel insisted that there are “no plans” in place yet, but added: “You might see a few of us having a little dance about on stage… but we’ll see what we can do for you.”

Mel last reunited with her bandmates Mel B, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham for the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony.

However, Victoria has made it clear that she will not rejoin the Spice Girls.

Since the Spice Girls split Victoria has since found success in the fashion industry, Emma is currently a radio presenter on Heart FM.
