50 Cent says Jay Z is an overrated hip-hop star

50 Cent has called Jay Z ‘the most overrated hip-hop star of all-time’.

During filming for a TV show, the rapper-turned-actor – real name Curtis Jackson III – was asked outright by host Andy Cohen for his honest opinion on the matter.

‘Overrated? Umm…’ he thought for a second, before responding confidently: ‘I mean Jay Z. He
would say he was overrated.

‘Rather be overrated than underpaid!’ he quipped.

The 38-year-old, who is currently starring in and executive producing Starz original series Power, also made a joke at his music rival’s expense as he brought up Jay Z’s recent elevator brawl with sister-in-law Solange Knowles during a question about his own run-in with Beyoncé.

‘What is it like to be yelled at in the face by Beyoncé?’ the 46-year-old talk show host asked his guest, who recently revealed he was publicaly berated by Jay Z’s wife during a confrontation at
The Cosmopolitan Of Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve.

‘It’s not really bad, like her breath doesn’t smell,’ he replied of the altercation with the gorgeous singer. ‘But it’s one of those things, like, the paparazzi and people were taking pictures of us at the same time, so there’s not really a right way to respond. You’ve just got to accept it.’

‘Right, you just passively accept it,’ Andy concurred, adding: ‘Is it scary at all?’

‘No, you just have to have an expression on your face like, “What the f*** is the matter with you?” ‘Cause you know if you do something back…’ he paused, before remarking at Jay’s expense: ‘It’s like if you’re in an elevator and you get attacked, you can’t do nothing.

‘You just gotta be like…’ he concluded, weakly throwing his hands up to protect himself like the father-of-one was seen doing in the now-infamous CCTV footage.

The third and final question of the segment got a little more personal as the dad-of-two – who has previously romanced the likes of Naomi Campbell, Vivica Fox, Kelly Rowland and Joy Bryant, among others – was probed about his alleged dalliance with Kim Kardashian.

‘You compared sex with Chelsea Handler to wrestling a gator. You were rumoured to have dated Kim Kardashian – what was sex with her like?’ Andy cheekily asked.

‘I never, I never,’ he said, insisting that they didn’t even hook up let alone date. ‘No. I just took pictures. We took pictures with each other in Australia at the [2008] MTV Awards and I posted the pictures. You know social network, people say all kinds of things.
