Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger want kids together

The happy couple tied the knot in July 2013, however, they are in no rush to start a family because Avril is busy promoting her album and her new husband is about to begin a European tour with his rock band Nickelback.

Chad said: ”We both want it. We just need to find a time we’re both home to get around to it!”

The ‘Complicated’ hitmaker and Chad celebrated their nuptials with a three-day party in the south of France and they even treated their loved ones to a special duet they recorded together.

Avril, 29, explained to: ”We played our duet ‘If I Said I Loved You’ for our guests and danced to it for our first dance. Our guests got to hear an exclusive song! It’s our love song,” Lavigne says. ”We had to play it at the wedding.”

The celebrity couple hit it off after collaborating on a song, but quickly developed feelings for one another.

Avril added: ”We bonded like crazy. It was like we’d known each other forever. It’s a very intimate process, and you have to really open up when you’re songwriting. When it was over and I had to go work with other people, it sucked. So I called him and asked him to come back to L.A. to do some more writing with me and he was like, ‘Hell yeah!’ ”
