Rihanna has proved her fashion icon status above Miley Cyrus by being named in the Best Dressed List for 2013.
The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer was joined by actress Lily Collins, model Cara Delevigne plus Cate Blanchett, Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr, Scandal actress Kerry Washington and fashion designer Stella McCartney.
Rihanna is clearly big into fashion considering she has her own collection for River Island and has recently revealed that she is the face of the spring/summer campaign for Balmain. Cara is everywhere in the fashion world and seems to work with every designer but during her down-time, she keeps it very low-key, working beanies and a fresh faced look.
Lily Collins, daughter of Phil, hit the spotlight this year by starring in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, which didn’t do very well at the box office.
That hasn’t stopped her grabbing attention for her interesting red carpet picks and her bold eyebrows, which could give Cara’s a run for her money. Miranda Kerr seems to be the envy of every women with a flaunt-worth body and an amazing wardrobe. She manages to make mum daywear classy.
Kerry Washington has come into focus this year after many red carpet appearances for Django Unchained and her hit TV show, Scandal. Her fashion choices were mostly applauded. She was also named World’s Best Dressed by People magazine.
She admitted in a statement that she wasn’t that fashion concious-choosing comfort over style normally.
“I don’t wear a lot of pants,” she said. “When I go somewhere I want to know I’m going to be comfortable and I’m dressed for the event.”
