Ed Sheeran doesn’t want to mix his personal life and his career and has put a ban on dating another celebrity.

The ‘Photograph’ hitmaker is known for referencing past relationships in his tracks but insists he is keeping both parts of his life separate from now on and has banned any romances with his fellow stars.

He said: ”I’ve learned a lot of things being in this industry by doing things right and doing things wrong.

”One thing I’ve learned is mixing the public with the personal life always ends in tears … so I’m not going to talk about that side of things.”

However, despite his vow, the 24-year-old singer opened up about splitting from former girlfriend Athina Andrelos on the same night he won two BRIT Awards.

He shared to The Sun: ”My relationship ended that night. That was a knee-jerk reaction to that. Every artist keeps composed in public. Everyone you think is the most composed might end up being the least composed.

”I’m not saying I’m off the rails or I’ve been off the rails. But every single one of us puts on a front. There’s always something going on behind the scenes.”

And Ed will have the chance to enjoy a romance out of the spotlight as he recently revealed he will be taking a nine month break at the end of the year to spend time with friends and family.
