One Direction’s Niall Horan to feature on band notes

Irish officials have previously chosen a number of their best known stars to feature on a set of limited edition notes.

Niall’s face will feature on 10,000 special edition bank notes, according the Irish Times.

Mullingar’s chamber of commerce issued the Niall Horan “Gar” notes and fans using the Niall Gar notes will be entitled to special offers at a number of local shops in early 2014.

Chamber president Pat Whelan said: “The Gar has been in circulation since 2011 and we decided it would be great to honour Niall by releasing a special edition Gar with Niall’s face.

“We are all One Direction fans and we are proud to see one of our young men from the town doing so well for himself.

Previous celebrities to have their face on the notes include Olympic silver medallist John Joe Nevin and James Joyce.

Meanwhile, it is rumoured that the Irish singer is dating Victoria’s Secret model Barbara Palvin.

Before dating Barbara, Niall was linked to Ellie Goulding, X Factor contestant Tamera Foster and Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson.
