Films coming to Netflix 2019

Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade

Netflix is rolling out a lot of new content in January to usher in the New Year. Here’s what you have to look forward to—and also what you’ll need to explain to your partner/roommate/friend/yourself that you absolutely will not be watching (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, I see you).

On January 1st, a slew of big movies will be hitting Netflix. A few of these number among our favorites: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and The Mummy (the Rachel Weisz-is-perfect mummy flick to be clear, not the Tom Cruise disaster). There are also great films like Pan’s Labyrinth, Pulp Fiction, The Dark Knight, and The Addams Family.

If you’re planning an Indiana Jones marathon—since all of the movies will be dropping—so if you want to maintain your love for Professor Jones. Do watch Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade for prime inspirational scenes of Nazi-punching.

On the 2nd, Monty Python and the Holy Grail joins us on the streaming network. I saw a tweet a while back that said something like, “If you think memes are new, try saying ‘shrubbery’ to anyone over 30.” Indeed. Join us in being not dead yet.

A few things we’re excited to watch for the first time: American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni VersaceFYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, about the infamous Frye festival, and I really need to learn how to tidy up with Marie Kondo. Plus a new animated Carmen Sandiego series with Gina Rodriguez voicing Carmen?!

At the end of the month, we’ll also be getting huge recent hits like Ant-Man and The Wasp and Incredibles 2. 2019 is looking like an improvement already.
