Big Brother 2015 host Emma Willis says she wants to see ‘nice people’ win the show.

Speaking ahead of the new series launch next week, Emma admitted there had been some voting “surprises” in past series but didn’t name any names.

The 39 year-old revealed: “I want to see nice people win. However, you need interesting characters even if they’re annoying, and unless you give them time you never know what else they might be.

“There are a few surprises that the public has given us, but for the most part they get it right!”

And talking of surprises, Emma revealed how she likes to be kept in the dark as much as she can about the latest goings on in the house, even when the series is on air.

“I love to be as blind as possible because I still like to watch it as a viewer,” Emma explained. “I think that, this year, with not doing BBBOTS, I will be at home watching it every night like a viewer. I don’t like to know a lot because I still like to be surprised by it. It takes the fun out of it if you know everything!”

Meanwhile the busy telly host, who also fronts The Voice UK, Reality Bites and new BBC One gameshow Prized Apart, has told how she found January’s latest series of Celebrity Big Brother “quite traumatic.”

Emma recalled: “Every night I would just feel stressed and worried. I would think, ‘What am I going to wake up to in the morning?’

“It was like having an unruly teenager that you can’t control. It’s normally the summer series that stresses you out and the celebrity one is full on but jolly. We didn’t see a lot of jolliness in January! I’m hoping the summer will bring us some happiness.”

Big Brother begins on Tuesday 12th May at 9PM.
