The Script singer and TV coach Danny O’Donoghue wants to start a family.

Danny is currently single after splitting from his girlfriend of four years Irma Mali in 2012 but admits he is just ”playing the field” at the moment and having a bit of fun before he settles down.

He said: ”There’s nothing I’d love more than to start a family when the time is right…

”[At the moment] I’m single and plying the field! I’m dating, I’m just having fun.”

The 33-year-old singer looks set to make one lucky lady very happy when he does finally settle down as he is a firm believer in being a gentleman and opening doors for a woman and he likes to cook for his girlfriends.

He added: ”I write songs, I cook dinner and I like to treat a woman nicely.

”I’m old school – I believe doors should be opened for a woman.”

Danny was romantically linked to his ‘The Voice’ contestant Bo Bruce in 2012 but he insists the pair are no longer in touch.

He told UK showbiz journalist Mark Boardman: ”She had a single out that I helped her with but that was the last contact I had with her.

”It’s just one of those things that we’re not in touch anymore.”
