The rising star who is predicted for success, talks to MarkMeets about his favourite venues to perform at, dream collaborations and more as we get to know him.

What kind of music are you listening to at the moment?
At the moment I’m into an array of artists and genres. I think my top 3 would be Jack White (White Stripes, The Raconteurs and Jack White himself), The intermission project and Keaton Henson.

What would people find out about you from a reality documentary?

– Although I’m from the North, my accent is far from Northern.

– I’m extremely weird when it comes to my sense of humour.

– I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie when I get the chance.

Where are the best venues you have performed at (In The UK)– Sanctum Soho hotel, London.

– Blues bar Harrogate

– George IV (Chiswick)

Is there anyone you would love to work with?I always love working with other artists, it’s a great way to create something new out of one another individual sounds. The people I would most like to work with would be:

– Willy Mason

– Superfood

– Die Antwoord

– Paper Aeroplanes

How do you relax? I meditate almost everyday, not the crossed feet humming stuff, it’s a much more subconscious process in which a click track synchronises with your brain frequency to calm you down. (Silva method)

Favourite TV Programme? At the moment Game of thrones

Do you have any bad habits? I bite my finger nails when under pressure or angry.

What was the first single you ever bought? From what I remember, it was Linkin park – Meteora

Favourite Drink? Nikka, single malt, 12 year, Japanese Whiskey, double with Two ice cubes.

What item couldn’t you live without? Nothing really, I kind of value everything the same. On importance it would be my phone.

What are you most scared of? Clowns

Favourite food? At the moment I love Sushi

If you could star in a film which film would you pick? Fight club

When was the last time you told a lie? About a week ago “I totally agree with you, you are so right”

Tell us your favourite joke? A man walk into a greasy spoon, he sees a Jamaican man choking. He runs over to help him. After stopping him choking he looks at the mans sandwich, it has 2 beer cans in it. “All I asked for was a Bacon sandwich!!” The Jamaican whimpered.

Fave 3 sights in London? Richmond park in the summer, Brick lane Graffiti and the British history museum

Best holiday destination (Been on) Swiss alps

Night in or night out? Depends on the people

Main course or dessert? Main course, every time

What did you want to be when you were five years old? Brain surgeon

Posh restaurant of a wetherspoons? Posh restaurant, but none of those gourmet sized meals!!

Last person you called? Alex, my girlfriend

Who did you find sexy Rose Huntington Whiteley, The bass player out of Paper Aeroplanes and my girlfriend

If you weren’t making music what would you be doing? Teaching snowboarding somewhere cold and snowy.
