Jenna Coleman Talks Doctor Who And Why A Return Could Happen

Actress Jenna Coleman hasn’t ruled out a return to ‘Doctor Who’.

The 36-year-old actress – who played Clara Oswald – the companion to the Eleventh (Matt Smith) and Twelfth (Peter Capaldi) Doctors – in the BBC series, revealed she would love to reprise her role.

“It could happen in the future, who knows? I think, at least for a good while, Clara is probably broken down somewhere in time and space, trying to understand how to work a TARDIS!

“I took away so much from my time working with Peter, Matt and the rest of the cast and crew on something so loved and revered. It was such a special time in my life.”

Jenna first appeared in the series in 2012 and left the show in 2017.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Jenna is set to star in new Prime Video drama ‘Wilderness’.

The actress will take on the role of Liv in the psychological thriller which has been adapted from BE Jones’s book of the same name.

The story will follow Liv as she embarks on a road trip across the US with her husband Will, played by Oliver Jackson-Cohen, after finding out he had an affair.

A scorned Liv decides to take revenge on her cheating husband after Will suggests the British couple go on a road trip in the wilderness to work on their marriage. ‘Wilderness’ is a twisted love story where a dream holiday quickly becomes a living nightmare.

She said: “We will be exploring the boundaries of a relationship tested in unimaginable ways.”

Producer Marnie Dickens added: “Our heroine Liv says the things you wish you had the guts to, does the things you can only fantasise about and lives by her increasingly outrageous set of rules.”
