He told Yahoo!: ”One of the things that makes me happy is love, everybody loves love and everybody wants to love back. Relationships are a little tricky but everybody wants to have their heart taken care of.

”I have been single for two years now, some parts of it are fun but I think I’m getting to a point now where I’m like, ‘I could fall in love again’, that would be nice. I want that deeper heart connection but I’m travelling a lot and it’s very difficult … So I’m dating my album, we are in a monogamous situation.”

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old singer previously insisted he would never date anyone who was in the closet again.

He said: ”Actors and entertainers can’t be open about their sexuality and it’s hard to live that life. It’s difficult to date someone who’s so worried about their reputation. I don’t think I could date anyone in the closet again.

”I dated some actors but they weren’t famous. In my single ‘Ghost Town’ I’m referring to how LA and the industry can really take its toll.”

Adam recently revealed what music he is listeninng to at the moment:

American Oxygen, Rihanna

Rihanna makes a statement on the struggle and hope of the American spirit. The production’s progressive, the hook is catchy.

Hold Me Up, Conrad Sewell

This guy’s voice is crazy good! The melody here is super strong and inspiring.

I’ll Be There, Chic (feat. Nile Rodgers)

Disco 2015: classic grooves and hooks enhanced with today’s bells and whistles. I love how the lyrics tell Nile’s story.

Real Love, Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne

Jess Glynne provides smoky soul vocals to this feel-good track. I love jogging to it!

You Know You Like It, DJ Snake & Aluna George

I loved the original version’s vibe, but DJ Snake flipped it on its ear, injecting a little retro house into its bones.

Should Have Been Us, Tori Kelly

Tori has a sick talent! The track showcases her range and has a smash-hit chorus. I know how she feels: Missed connections…

Collect My Love, The Knocks (feat. Alex Newell)

Alex kills this vocal. I love the future disco feel of this new discovery.

Stay or Run, Alisan Porter

Alisan is a dear friend of mine and this track feels so down home sexy. Love this groove to death.

Mind, Jack Ü (feat. Kai)

I’m digging this dark, hypnotic track. Kai’s vocals are really rich. I love bouncy trap drop. Lots of ear candy here.

Can’t Feel My Face, The Weeknd

This surprising track starts with The Weeknd’s signature vibe, then the chorus takes it to a throwback funk jam.
