Cardi B first time back on first red carpet since giving birth to son

Now this is what we call a BIG fashion moment and finally we see Cardi B has stepped foot on her first red carpet since giving birth to her second child and boy, did she make it count.

The ‘Please Me’ rapper dripped in crimson sequins, jewels and feathers as she attended Thierry Mugler: Couturissime exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs as part of Paris Fashion Week.

The 28-year-old made sure her return to the red carpet was one of the ages wearing an avant garde creation by Thierry Mugler from his 1995 collection, consisting of a fully sequinned skirt and a crystal-encrusted corset.

Adding even more drama, Cardi wore a red cape with a gigantic feathered collar, donned a bejewelled choker, and even coordinated her eyebrows by sticking red jewels to her skin.

The star sported a retro blonde do for the occasion, and most definitely stole the spotlight at the exhibition.

Cardi wasn’t content with just one showstopping look, though, as she later changed into a black leather corset paired with matching frayed sleeves and a see-through mesh skirt.

Cardi’s dress was loaned from Mugler’s 1995 collection and the rapper even bedazzled her eyebrows (At the exhibition, the Bodak Yellow star posted with Mr Mugler himself in front of the vintage design she wore to the 2019 Grammy Awards.

The dress, inspired by The Birth of Venus by Botticelli, was also from Mugler’s 1995 collection, and featured a pink duchess satin and black velvet clamshell skirt and an embellished bodysuit.

Following the exhibition opening night, Cardi wrote on Instagram: ‘Thank you @manfredthierrymugler for including me in such a historical night, the opening of your exhibit in Paris! Truly one of my favorite creative minds in the WORLD!

‘I’m mind blown looking at your collections from over the years. A true Genius!’

Cardi changed into a leather look and the Mugler creation features in the exhibition.

Cardi’s high-fashion night out came just over three weeks after she gave birth to her second child, a baby boy.

The star, real name Belcalis Almanzar, confirmed she and husband Offset had become parents again by sharing a picture of them cradling their son wrapped in a blue blanket – with a Louis Vuitton blanket draped over Cardi, of course – with the caption: ‘9/4/21

The couple have yet to announce their son’s name or share any pictures of the baby.
