Davina McCall still has a naughty streak

TV presenter Davina McCall has admitted that despite being a married mum, she still feels naughty.

McCall and her husband Matthew Robertson have three children but she admits it can be hard to rein in her bad side.

She told The Sun: “I’ve always had a naughty streak.

“Part of me just feels naughty and I have to work hard to keep a lid on it sometimes.

“I like staying out late and socialising – and I like people.”

Davina was wild when she was younger and took up heavy partying, drinking and drugs.

However, the 46-year-old says she would not change her past because it has taught her some valuable lessons.

She said: “I was a different person then.

“I think it’s hereditary. My mother was an alcoholic, so I was careful not to drink a lot, but it manifested itself in another way and I found drugs. Or drugs found me.

“Drugs appealed to my naughty side and the clubbing scene was amazing at first. But then it was like The Verve song, The Drugs Don’t Work.

“There are many things I wish I hadn’t done but I have tried hard to learn from my mistakes.

“If my children have done something they’ve regretted I always say to them, and this is from Narcotics Anonymous, that it’s only a really silly mistake if you do it twice.”
