Fans speak out as Ariana Grande’s focus on beauty brand delays new music

It’s no secret that Ariana Grande is good at pretty much everything, whether it’s singing, dancing, acting, and now creating a dreamy beauty brand.

The Thank U, Next! songstress launched R.E.M Beauty in November 2021 and the range of products has continued to grow thanks to its success, as Ariana has also branched out into skincare.

However, some fans are getting irritated at the music drought, and have criticised Ari for seemingly focusing more on her beauty line than her music.

The No Tears Left To Cry hitmaker recently unveiled a new concealer for R.E.M, but not everyone is on board with how excited she is about her latest product.

After the Grammy-Award winner posted a video to TikTok to promote the brand, one follower commented: ‘Pls remember you’re a singer’.

A second follower commented: ‘We really love u Ari but can u start singing again plss?😭😭😭’.

However, in true Ariana style, she was quick to silence the haters in the sweetest way – assuring them her music career isn’t coming to an end any time soon.

‘I have actually never felt more at home in my voice or more like a singer’, she wrote in response, adding bubble emoji and a smiley face.

Plenty of fans have been extremely supportive of the star’s latest venture, however, making sure to let her know how ‘proud’ they are.

‘Can’t wait to buy and try it!!’, one fan wrote.

‘Ari, you look beautiful! I’m so looking forward to the new products’, commented another, to which Ariana replied with three heart hand emoji.

Others were also keen to put critics in their place, with one supporter writing: ‘Leave her alone lmao not every video has to have people reminding her she’s not makin music’.

R.E.M Beauty got its name after Ariana released a song of the same name on her critically-acclaimed Sweetener album.

Prior to the brand’s first official launch, she revealed: ‘I decided to name it R.E.M, because I feel like that song really encompasses a lot of my favourite parts of my sound sonically’.

And if you are wondering about new music, then you might be waiting a while for a new Ariana song, as she recently confessed that she hasn’t been in the studio.
