Adam Lambert: Thank you for having me. It’s great to be here.
MarkMeets: Let’s start at the beginning. You gained worldwide fame after appearing on American Idol. What was that experience like for you, and how did it change your life?
Adam Lambert: It was a wild ride. American Idol was a great platform for me, and it definitely changed my life. I went from being a struggling artist to someone who had a huge fanbase almost overnight. It was a great experience, and it opened a lot of doors for me.
MarkMeets: After American Idol, you released your debut album “For Your Entertainment.” What was it like working on your first album, and how did you come up with the album’s sound?
Adam Lambert: It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. I worked with a lot of talented people, and we really wanted to create something that was unique and true to who I am as an artist. We experimented with a lot of different sounds and genres, and I think the end result was something that was truly special.
MarkMeets: Your album “High Drama” was a departure from your earlier work. What inspired you to create this album, and what was the creative process like?
Adam Lambert: I’ve always been a fan of funk and soul music, and I really wanted to explore that sound on this album. I worked with some incredible musicians and producers, and we really tried to capture that vintage sound while also making it feel modern and fresh. The creative process was a lot of fun, and it was great to see everything come together.
MarkMeets: You’ve collaborated with a lot of great artists over the years. Is there anyone you haven’t worked with yet that you would love to collaborate with in the future?
Adam Lambert: There are so many great artists out there that I would love to work with. Some that come to mind are Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa, and Lizzo. I think we could create something really special together.
MarkMeets: You’ve had an incredible career so far, but what’s next for Adam Lambert? What can we expect from you in the future?
Adam Lambert: Well, I’m always working on new music, so you can definitely expect some more albums and singles from me in the future. I’m also hoping to get back on the road soon and tour again. And who knows, maybe I’ll try my hand at some acting or other creative endeavors as well. I’m excited to see where my career takes me next.
MarkMeets: That sounds great. Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with us today, Adam. We’re excited to see what you have in store for us in the future.
