Miley Cyrus has been announced as the host of the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
The 22 year-old pop star, who hit the headlines for her raunchy performance with Robin Thicke at the event in 2013 has now be confirmed.
Wearing an all-green alien outfit, complete with mask, Miley wore a sign that read, “MTV won’t let me perform”. She then ripped off the mask for an accompanying photo and picked up a sign that read: “So I’m hosting this year’s VMAs.”
She later added the tweet, “F**k yeah VMAs!!!!! #VMAs on @MTV Aug 30 at 9pm.”
