The Umbrella Academy spoilers follow.
Following that cliffhanger at the end of season two, Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy has unveiled a closer look at a new possible threat for the Hargreeves gang.
When the superhero siblings returned to 2019 after their 1960s adventure, they found a slightly different reality where the Sparrows were in charge.
This new group of gifted Hargreeves includes a familiar face. Ben (Justin H Min), who’s dead in the original timeline, is alive and well in this universe but doesn’t recognise his siblings, not even Klaus (Robert Sheehan).
Ahead of the new season, set to start streaming in June, Netflix has given fans a sneak peek of the Sparrows in red and black costumes.
Alongside Ben, this brood of Hargreeves features Training Day‘s Justin Cornwell as Marcus Hargreeves/Sparrow Number One, The Flash star Britne Oldford as Fei Hargreeves/Sparrow Number Three, Jake Epstein as Alphonso Hargreeves/Sparrow Number Four, Genesis Rodriguez as Sloane Hargreeves/Sparrow Number Five, and Cazzie David as Jayme Hargreeves/Sparrow Number Six and, of course, Dread-Inducing Psykronium Cube aka Christopher Hargreeves, a float
Netflix has also shared a fresh image of the OG Hargreeves, with the main cast returning for a new season where violent face-offs with the Sparrows might very well be on the cards.
The upcoming chapter is set to incorporate protagonist Elliot Page’s transition into his character’s storyline by re-introducing his White Violin as Viktor Hargreeves, as the actor confirmed in March.
The Umbrella Academy seasons 1-2 are now streaming on Netflix. Season 3 is due to premiere on June 22.
