Sam Bailey asks for 'respect' from the paparazzi

Sam Bailey has spoken out about how she hopes the press will “respect” her home life and not intrude upon her children following her X Factor victory.

Although she accepts that she would have to make “sacrifices” now that she is in the public eye, the mum-of-two said she hoped the paparazzi would keep their distance.

The Skyscraper singer said : “With regards to paparazzi being outside my house, I’ve got two children so I hope they’d have that respect.”

The interview took place the same day that Harry Styles won a court injunction preventing tabloid photographers from ‘harrassing’ him – but Sam insists she is not in the same league as the One Direction star.

“I don’t feel famous like that. That’s Harry Styles for crying out loud,” she told the news channel.

“I’ve just come out of a competition where I’ve been in a bubble so I can’t see it like that yet… but I’ll get advice, I’ll be okay.”

She went on to add: “With regards to the intrusion side of it, hopefully they’ll have respect for me – not interfering with my private life.

“It goes hand-in-hand, you have to make these sacrifices, but I’d give autographs, I don’t mind giving people the time of day.”
