Simon Cowell wants son to have British accent

Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell wants his son Eric to have a British accent.

Simon’s girlfriend Lauren Silverman gave birth to Eric on Valentine’s day in New York.

However, the music mogul does not want his offspring to have an American twang.

He told Now: “I definitely would like my child to speak with a British accent.

“Maybe [it’s important to me] because I’m British!”

He added: “I haven’t really thought about it but it’d be quite odd, me being a Brit, and having a child that spoke with an American accent.”

Simon and Lauren plan to raise Eric in both the UK and the US.

Cowell admitted that he thinks his son will be mischievous.

He said: “I have a feeling he’s going to be really bad for some reason.”

Meanwhile, a source has told us that Louis Walsh will net £1m deal to join Simon Cowell & Cheryl Cole for 11th series of X Factor.
