For years we thought the French-Canadian warbler of hits such as ‘My Heart Will Go On’ and ‘The Power Of Love’, Celine Dion, was good for one thing and one thing only.

Her almost 40 year-strong career saw the world fall in love with the singer.

And the tragic death of the love her life, manager and husband of 21 years René Angélil in January of 2016, proved what we always knew – she is a true warrior.

Her life, alongside her heart, would go on. But as one important man in her life left, another joined.

Cue the hiring of ‘image architect’ and fashion stylist to the stars Law Roach.

Drake bowed in awe as he met her. Katy Perry basically stalked her. We all went in for a Dion love-fest.

That first Paris Fashion Couture week last summer gave us, and every other fashion/cheesy love song lover in the world life.

She looked edgy, she gave us poses, and she totally revelled in the entire thing.

Giambattista Valli actually shouted ‘Celine we love you’ at the end of his show.

Part of our collective admiration for the 49 year-old was her unabashed enjoyment of her introduction into elite fashion. Celine Dion has an estimated net worth of $380 million in June 2016 and unlike the scowling, stomping, spindly legged, serious faces we’re used to at exclusive fashion events, Celine bleeding went for it and with all her cash, why the hell not!!

She did the furthest thing from playing it cool at the Met Gala. In fact, she was all of us when she danced, and posed and, quite frankly, slayed in her custom Versace.

Thankfully, this Paris Couture week she has not disappointed.

We’ve seen her in Gucci, Balmain, Cavalli, Ellery and Dior. A crocodile skin coat in 26 degrees? Sure!

Never low-key anything, Dion is always a walking hyperbole of joy and style.
