Mariah Carey’s reveals her shoe closet is her ‘favourite room’

Mariah Carey has unveiled her huge shoe collection on Instagram, and confessed it’s her ”favourite room in the house”.

The 45-year-old singer took to Instagram to show off a tiny portion of an entire room dedicated to her shoes, revealing she has at least 18 shelves just for gold heels, and at least four for knee-high boots.

Along with a picture of her enviable shoe collection, Mariah shared: ”Always my favorite room in the house #shoes #shoes #moreshoes (sic)”.

The last time fans got a look at the ‘Touch My Body’ hitmaker’s dream walk-in wardrobe was when she showed off her New York City penthouse on MTV’s ‘Cribs’ in 2002, in which she also took to the treadmill in a pair of stiletto heels.

Mariah Carey – who is rarely seen without her trademark heels – has also previously admitted she doesn’t even take them off to go in water.

Speak to the UK entertainment online magazine, she  quipped: ”I swim in evening gowns and heels.”

However, wearing high shoes all the time hasn’t always worked out well for Mariah.

When the ‘Heartbreaker’ singer was making the promo for the remix of ‘#Beautiful’ in July 2013 she slipped on stage while wearing a gown and heels, and insisted the pain of the injury was worse than childbirth.

Mariah – who has four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with her estranged husband Nick Cannon – said: ”I dislocated my shoulder two years ago, and it was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. I had to wear a glove for a while because it affected my hand as well. Thanks to physical therapy, I’m finally glove-free!”
