Rita Ora: Jeremy Scott gave me design tips

Rita Ora was advised by Jeremy Scott to let her “crazy” out when designing a range for Adidas.

Rita Ora has learnt valuable style lessons from Jeremy Scott.

The American designer is currently at the helm of Moschino, a brand Rita is often seen wearing.

The pair are good friends, and the fashion star has been on hand to offer some pearls of wisdom to Rita when she set about designing a fashion line for Adidas.

“He said, ‘Don’t be afraid to be crazy. Sometimes those are the most inspirational things,'” Rita revealed to British newspaper Metro.

The collection was announced in May and is separated into five different ranges, each reflecting a different aspect of her personality.

The popstar also took inspiration from her music for the designs.

“We were looking at the feelings songs evoke. Some were inspired by love, and others were inspired by rock’n’roll,” she explained.

The 23-year-old is over the moon with how the collection has turned out, and got an added boost when another good friend got behind it.

Beyoncé Knowles was sent items from the line and snapped photos of herself wearing the garments, quickly uploading the shots to her Instagram account.

“I didn’t know she was going to do that. I was just so happy that she liked it and posted it. She’s really supportive,” Rita smiled.

On the subject of her own sense of style, Rita explains what you see is what you get.

Known for her love of street-chic clothes, Rita can pull off anything from a floor-length Donna Karan Atelier gown to a matching fishnet Moschino crop top and see-through skirt.

“The outfits you see me out and about in is what I’ve always worn and what I wear at home. I’m quite an in-the-moment person when it comes to my style,” she explained.
