The Shake It Off singer is rarely seen without her trademark red lipstick. But she ditched the slap for a personal snap posted on her Instagram page.

In the picture, Taylor is seen cuddling up to one of her much-loved cats, Meredith.

“I woke up like thissss (With a cat on me),” Taylor captioned the picture.

In a previous interview, Taylor opened up about her love of makeup, and said that her confidence is not uniquely linked to wearing cosmetics.

Instead, she has an inner beauty that she is more than proud of.

Asked when she feels the most beautiful, Taylor told Glam: “When I feel really confident; I think it’s a spontaneous thing that happens every once in a while and I can never predict when, but there are sometimes when I just feel really confident, smiling and laughing…

“I think in those [moments] when you do feel confident you should just live it up and appreciate it for the fact that it’s there, because I don’t think anybody is ever consistently always confident.”

However, Taylor also admitted in the interview that she is somewhat lacking when it comes to a regular beauty regime.

And one of the rules the 25-year-old reveals she often breaks is certainly a cardinal one.

“Sometimes I take my makeup off at night, sometimes I don’t,” she said. “I’m pretty lazy when it comes to like a regimen or anything like that.”
