Talented singer and songwriter Julia Dale is also a pro tennis star who loves sports with an infusion of pop.
Her first single ‘Let Go’ from album ‘Breakpoint’ is out now.
Tell us about yourself and your music?
I am a tennis player. I’ve been training for the past 6 years. I left school to do online school in high school. I’ve always wrote songs but at 12 years old I stopped everything for tennis. About a year ago I tore my acl and I began writing again a lot. My music reflects my relationship with the people I train with and my relationship with myself.
How would you describe your sound?
My sound for this first project is an infusion of pop, Latin influence, some folk, and pop rock. I’m still finding my sound!
Talk about the experience making your single?
I was lucky enough to work with two great producers Periko and Rec808. The song was actually supposed to me more Acoustic and R&B kind of style. Then we went into the studio and the song took took on a life of its own. And we just went with it.
What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?
I am already starting to work on new songs. I’m excited to continue working and creating music. I will be performing locally for now.
What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?
My music career has just begun! So I’m excited to start making great memories!
Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)?
If I ever had the opportunity to do something with Eminem I would literally feel honored. No words to describe how I would feel. It would also be awesome to do something with Chris Brown…somehow he makes every song good. Or Rihanna, she’s she’s a beast!
Name something random that people do not know about you?
I can eat pasta at any time of the day/night.
What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?
I’m too new to this I am only starting to learn. But like anything else in life you gotta put in work!
What can we expect from you in the future?
You can expect a lot of music! I’m always writing. And we’ll see what happens.
