Little Fireworks: MarkMeets Featured Artist March 2025

MarkMeets is thrilled to announce Little Fireworks as our featured artist for March 2025. This London-based duo, composed of lifelong friends Scott Viney and Pierce Kavanagh, have been making music together for over 7 years. Despite their hiatus from one another, they’ve reunited to form a new musical project that’s set to ignite the music scene.

A Brief History

Little Fireworks’ journey began when Pierce and Scott started writing music together in different projects across various roles. However, the 2020 pandemic led to the demise of their previous project. Pierce went on to pursue a solo career under the name “kav,” while Scott focused on his career as a full-time session musician. Although their hiatus was brief, the pair missed making music together and eventually reunited to form Little Fireworks.

Debut EP ‘Where Did The Light Go?’ – OUT NOW

The band’s debut EP ‘Where Did The Light Go?’ is a powerful collection of four songs that establishes Little Fireworks as a force to be reckoned with. The EP is a testament to their ability to craft music that resonates with listeners on a deep level. Through their soft, heartbreaking verses and huge, anthemic choruses, Little Fireworks invites listeners to immerse themselves in their gripping sound.

Inspiration Behind the Music

The duo’s inspiration behind their music is rooted in their shared experiences and emotions. “The year was 2008, we were skimming rocks in our local pond when a couple bullies came up and gave us a wedgie… that lit the fire inside of us,” they recall. This early experience sparked their passion for music and has continued to fuel their creativity over the years.

Favorite Artists and Collaborations

Little Fireworks cites Biffy Clyro and Frightened Rabbit as two of their favorite bands. They’re also fans of new artist Nieve Ella, who has recently caught their attention. As for collaborations, they’d love to work with Simon Neal or the Dessner brothers in the future.

‘Like Ghosts’ – A Taste of What’s to Come

Their single, ‘Like Ghosts’, is a prime example of Little Fireworks’ unique sound. The song builds momentum from its vulnerable verses to its massive choruses, showcasing the band’s ability to craft anthemic tracks that leave a lasting impression.

Future Plans

While there are no new album plans in the works just yet, Little Fireworks have been in the studio in Leeds completing their next singles. They’re also discussing potential tour plans, which they hope to announce soon.
