Russian superstar and The Voice judge Valeriya to perform at the Royal Albert Hall alongside the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
Russia’s multi-award winning singer Valeriya has released 15 albums, achieved over 20 number 1 hits, sold out numerous concerts and has grossed over 100 million in record sales. Now this beautiful singer will be performing at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on the 21st October, alongside the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and conductor Paul Bateman.
For the past 20 years Valeriya, often referred to as the Russian Madonna, has been a pop icon in Russia and former USSR countries and a judge on the Russian version of the famous TV show The Voice. Every release is a hit and every concert is a sell out. Having secured her place in the Russian hall of fame, back in 2009 she set her sights on the UK.
It did not take long for her to get noticed, as Valeriya’s first success came right after she performed her version of the Bee Gee’s famous hit Staying Alive for one of its legendary authors Robin Gibb and they ended up recording it as a duet. Simply Red fell in love with her work and asked her to join them on their Greatest Hits tour, she accepted and performed at multiple sold out shows, including two at London’s 02 arena.
She was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for her contribution to fighting modem slavery and wrote a song dedicated to the human trafficking issue. Just some of many awards includeBest Female Act and The Best Duet at the Russian MTV Music Awards, multiple Golden Gramophone national prizes, Radio Favourite of the Year, Best Female Act at the Muz TV Awards and The Most Popular and Most beautiful Russian singer by 7 Days Magazine.
Her debut performance at the Royal Albert Hall will feature Valeriya’s greatest hits from the past 20 years, as well as collaborations with a host of other popular artists, including Valery Meladze, Iosif Kobzon, Victor Drobysh, Stas Pjeha, Vasiliy Gerello, Oleg Skripka (Vopli Vidopliassova), Alexander Kogan and Ruslan Alehno.
